  • Founding President of the Democrats Movement (1999-Present): First Congolese woman to found and lead her political party.
  • Leading figure of opposition to Mobutu: first independently (1975-1990), then in various international leadership positions in the UDPS, the leading opposition party (1990-1997).

NON-PROFIT & SOCIAL IMPACT LEADERSHIP

  • Founding President of the President Joseph Kasa-Vubu Fund (1997-Present), a non-profit institution active in education, education through sport, humanitarian & medical assistance.
  • In 1997, Justine M’Poyo Kasa-Vubu is the first Congolese political figure ever to set up a foundation aimed at social impact to help address some of the most pressing social issues of the nation.

POLITICAL AUTHOR

Justine is also a recognized author with six publications, including political and personal biographies of Joseph Kasa-Vubu, as Father of the Congolese Independence, her government experience, an essay questioning the decolonization of DRC, and a book “What If Kennedy Died for Africa?” highlighting the ties between USA President Kennedy and DRC President Kasa-Vubu and their shared visions for Africa.
