Hi Wonderful followers, if you’ve been with me for a while, you know this space has always been rooted in one powerful question:
“What does it mean to lead with courage in a changing world?”
For some time, we’ve explored courage in conversations, decision-making, client relationships, identity, and leadership presence. Your engagement and your reflections have shaped the heartbeat of this newsletter.
Over the past few years, something has been shifting.
I’ve watched leaders navigate more complexity, more change, more expectation, and more emotional weight than at any point in my career. The world is faster. The stakes feel higher. And the old definitions of courage — “push harder,” “speak louder,” “act fearlessly” — no longer fit the leaders you are becoming.
That’s when I realized something important:
Courage has a new trajectory. Courage needed to evolve.
I’ve evolved, too, as a coach, a strategist, and a global leadership thinker. And as my work deepened, something became crystal clear:
Modern leadership requires Strategic Courage®, courage guided by clarity, resilience, and intelligent action.
One moment with a client solidified this. She said to me,
“CB, I’m tired of acting courageous. I want to feel courageous again.”
That was it. Leaders don’t need louder courage. Leaders need clearer courage, courage rooted in strength, self-trust, and aligned choices.
Therefore, this newsletter will be evolving with you.
